"In this age, which believes that there is a short cut to everything, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest."
- Henry Miller

Painting the exterior was one of the final projects on the house. Years of neglect and a shoddy previous paint job made the process very difficult and time consuming as most of the boards had to be completely stripped down to bare wood. I took daily photos showing the progress of the different sections of the exterior. Late spring/summer temps can be brutal in the area so we had to follow the shade around the house and work mostly at night in order to keep the chances of heat exhaustion down.

I have split up the photos into 5 different galleries:
one for all the photos, and one for each side of the house for faster loading (recommended for dial up folks)
